The Novel

This was my first book, and I have a very long story to tell about it. But that’s another story for another day, and I have no idea if I’ll ever write it.

Get The Keeper of the Ferris Wheel on Amazon.

Some people said nice things about it

This was a nationally published novel, and although it didn't sell lots of copies, some people liked it quite a bit, and most of the reviews were very positive.

I'll let them tell the story for now.

“Most of the fine novels about the Vietnam War have been told by the soldiers who fought there and the politicians who sent them. Not so many are about the war at home. White rushes to fill that void with this emotional, intelligent first novel.”
Tulsa World

“A strong, compassionate first novel.”
Kirkus Reviews

You can read the whole Kirkus review of The Keeper of the Ferris Wheel here, including this part. “…an often touching, surprisingly funny debut.”

The Keeper of the Ferris Wheel

"Debuts a writer of tremendous Potential" - - - Tulsa World

"Sprinkled with unforgettable characters.”
Lincoln Journal Star

“Vivid images shine through.”
The Washington Post

“Talented, skewed, well-written, stoned, splashy, colorful, sharp, loud, violent, smart. Read it.”
Kansas City Star

“White deftly juggles several story lines as he brings his plot to a boil . . . a promising storyteller who can handle complex subjects with aplomb.”
Publishers Weekly
